Here is a letter from Andy remembering and thanking everyone for their hard work at the Winter Banquet:

We had a GREAT turnout for the Winter Banquet. I don’t know about you, but I had a very nice evening. Thanks to EVERYONE who helped put the evening together.

If you couldn't be there, here's a recap of what you missed. We had two section C-5-C officers present at the banquet—Section Chief Jack O'Neill and our own Frank Soltys who is the Section Secretary. We retired the Honorary Brotherhood Sash and Matt Tasso, the current wearer, donated his own sash to continue the line. Of the 13 wearers of the Sash, four, Matt Tasso and myself included, were present at the ceremony. The other two were Nathan Schaumleffel, the 3rd wearer, and Nick Schubert, the eighth. We each took ashes from Camps Joy and Van and smeared it on the "new" sash, while presenting the "old" sash to Mr. Jim O'Neill for safe keeping. The Vigil Recognition ceremony was put together by Eric Hermann and the four people who received the Vigil Honor last Spring were honored. Congrats again to Joe Spihlman, Mike Kuehnle (Pirate Mike), and Christie Kwock. I am the least of the 4. The John Eichelberger Cheerful Service Award went to Ben Schmitt. Congrats Ben, you deserved it. And finally, the Founders Awards went to Jon Kwock and Christie Kwock. Congrats to you both.

I would also like to remind you that anyone interested in being the Order of the Arrow Camp Coordinator this Summer must apply by the LEC on February 21, 2008. To apply, send me an email at taleka@charter.net

Well, that’s about it. I can't wait to see everyone at the next event.

Yours in Scouting,
Andy Schefelker
